He was predeceased by: his parent Mellis Barnett; his siblings, Katherine Kilgore, Cassie Rice, Annie Lou Barnett, Justeen Barnett, Johnny Barnett, Junior Barnett, Thurman Barnett and William Risner; his nephew Kenneth Barnett Jr.; his niece Kendra Barnett; and his pet Sheba.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Moore, Flossie Scholl, Ruth Slagle, Kenneth Barnett, Miles Barnett and Lonnie Barnett; and his close friend Carol Wojtowicz.
