He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Lewis and Cora Lewis; his significant other Marlene "Buck" Bernard; and his siblings, Mary Lou Lewis, Danny Lewis, Gary Edward Lewis, Janet Nye and Barbara Dee Lewis.

He is survived by: his sister Abigail Hartge of Shelby. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
