He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Artz and Elsie Artz (Mellick); his daughter Lesley Artz; his sister Linda Kaple; and his siblings-in-law, Lloyd Betts, Louie Wechter and Bonnie Artz.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Artz (Tschuor); his sons, Jeremy Artz (Lynn), Jason Artz (Karyn) and James Artz (Tammy); his grandchildren, Alison, Jakob, Ayren Artz and Bradley Artz; his stepgrandson Brandon Shaw (Jessica); his siblings, Charlene Betts, Elsie Ann Wechter, Sandy Neumann (Don) and Larry Artz; and his brother-in-law John Kaple. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family.
