He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Newsome and Bernice Newsome (Hall); his siblings, James Newsome, Michael Newsome, William "Gordy" Newsome and Annette Newsome; and his grandson Colson Dean Charles Hanson.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Newsome (Lacy); his children, Curtis Newsome Jr., Benjamin Newsome, Breanna Newsome and Charity Newsome; his grandchildren, Curtis Newsome, Serenity Newsome, Anastasia Newsome, Amaya Newsome and Brooklyn Hanson; and his siblings, Freida Fidler (Dean) and Matthew Newsome. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
