It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Steele (Wilkesville, Ohio), born in Madison Heights, Virginia, who passed away on September 17, 2019, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carpenter and Alice Monroe Carpenter; her husband Robert H. Steele; and her sisters, Mary Brobst, Rachel Donahue, Florence Fry, Wanda McCambridge, Velda Mae Carpenter and Cloris Portwood.

She is survived by: her children, Robert A. Steele (Darlene) of Sunbury, Judy Yates (Jack) of Logan, Nancy Steele of Wilkesville and Linda Morgan (John) of Wellston; and her brother Cecil Carpenter (Rita) of Minford. She is also survived by six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren.
