She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carpenter and Alice Monroe Carpenter; her husband Robert H. Steele; and her sisters, Mary Brobst, Rachel Donahue, Florence Fry, Wanda McCambridge, Velda Mae Carpenter and Cloris Portwood.
She is survived by: her children, Robert A. Steele (Darlene) of Sunbury, Judy Yates (Jack) of Logan, Nancy Steele of Wilkesville and Linda Morgan (John) of Wellston; and her brother Cecil Carpenter (Rita) of Minford. She is also survived by six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren.
