He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Jean Dobbert; his parents, Ray Dobbert and Agnes Dobbert; and his siblings, Gary Dobbert and Karen Dobbert.

He is survived by: his sons, Anthony R. Dobbert (Lisa) and Mark A. Dobbert; and his grandchildren, Nick, Frankie, Lexi, Cody and Chris.
