He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Gilbert Williams III (Amy) of Libertyville, Illinois, Edward Williams (Carrie) of Upper Arlington, Ohio and Aimée Switzer of Upper Arlington, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Ellen Williams of Libertyville, Illinois, Gilbert Williams IV (Megan) of Libertyville, Illinois, Mary Briddell (Eric) of Atlantic Beach, Florida, Annabella Smith (David) of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Thomas Switzer Jr. of Upper Arlington, Ohio and Katherine Switzer of Upper Arlington, Ohio.; his great grandchildren, Gilbert Williams V and Eugene Williams of Libertyville, Illinois.; and his siblings, Royal Williams of Boise and Sharon Gargiulo of Wickliffe. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Rutherford Funeral Home (450 W Olentangy St, Powell, OH 43065). A prayer was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 3:45 PM at the same location.
