She was predeceased by: her parents, Wanda V. Rathbone and Ronald E.; her son Troy S. Carder; her siblings, Ruth C. Sherwood and Vern L. Sherwood Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Martin G. Mahoney and Kathy Sherwood.

She is survived by: her siblings, Michael D. Sherwood, Steven L. Hawkins, Katherine A. Mahoney, Rochelle Jackson (Brent), Ronald E. Hawkins (Yvonne), Frank E. Hawkins, Darlene Sherwood-Gallagher, Edie Sherwood, Lilah Larkin (Sherwood) and Mary Sherwood.
