He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Heilman and Ethel Heilman (Poe); and his siblings, Tena Golding and Ben Heilman. He is survived by: his wife Jo (Melton); his daughter Heidi Baker; his grandchildren, Cole Baker (Kylie) and Abby Baker; his great grandchild Kinzley; and his brother Randy Heilman (Michelle).

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
