He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Hays and Lillian F. Hays. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his sons, Matthew Hays (April) of Whitehouse and Michael Hays (Anna) of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Lillian, John, Molly, Austin, Violet and Marigold.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home- Whitehouse Chapel (6603 Providence St, Whitehouse, OH 43571). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (4560 Glendale Ave, Toledo, OH 43614).
