He was predeceased by: his wife Rachel Rankin; and his brother Evan Otis, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Becky (Bruce), Chuck (Kim) and Clark (Laurie); his grandchildren, CJ Plymale (Alicia), Melissa Zorn (Chris), Mariah Persinger (Jay), Josh Walker and Eric Walker; and his brother Lester (Molly) of Gallipolis. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
