She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Anderson and Bettie Anderson (Yeack). She is survived by: her son Col. David Atkinson (Pamela); her husband Don Atkinson of Sheriff's Office; her children, Jennifer Atkinson-Minni (Ryan) and Erin Tytko (Anthony); her grandchildren, Emily Atkinson, Owen Atkinson, Allisyn Atkinson, Zachary Atkinson, Austin Minni, Andrew Tytko and Elizabeth Tytko; and her brother Gregg Anderson (Joan).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home- Whitehouse Chapel (6603 Providence St, Whitehouse, OH 43571). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Community of Christ Lutheran Church (6517 Finzel Rd, Whitehouse, OH 43571).
