It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Gail Smith of Wheelersburg, Ohio, born in Matewan, West Virginia, who passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kernie Slone and Minnie Marie Slone (Burton); her husband Rev. Robert M. Smith; and her brothers, Johnny, Everett, Eugene and Robert.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Smith (Christal) of Kettering, Michael Smith of Gallipolis and Faith Wright (Jeremy) of Wheelersburg; her siblings, James Slone (Rosemary) of South Webster, David Slone (Sandy) of Clarktown and Loraine Lewis of Lucasville; and her grandchildren, Michael, Tiffani, Brittany, Kayla, Audrey, Tyler, Alivia and Emily. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
