He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Farrell and Darlene Roof Farrell; his wife Pearl Messer Farrell; his children, Carlos Farrell, Pat Charles and Wanda Powell; and his grandsons, Nicholas and Todd.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Farrell (Valerie), Nancy Gulley (JB) and Vicki Brumfield; and his siblings, Clarence Farrell and Barbara DePriest. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
