He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Parsley and Gladys Parsley (Kirk); his wife Becky Parsley (Blankenship); his children, Bruce Parsley (Deanna) and Terri Bragdon (Barry); his grandchildren, Brooke Bragdon, Drew Parsley (Emily), Camron Parsley (Megan) and Nicolas Parsley; his great grandchildren, Alexandria "Brown Eyes" Parsley, Braelyn Daniel, Alyssa Wyatt, Alyvia Wyatt, Bronson Carpenter and Boston Carpenter; his siblings, Lowell Parsley (Barb), Raymond Parsley (Libby), Pauletta Bartrum (Jim), Morris Parsley (Sueellen) and Glenna Michael (Tony); and his granddaughter Ashley Nichole Bragdon.

“I grew up with Alvin in Martin county Ky. He lived up wolf creek and I lived at Smokey bottom. We went to school together at Warfield. Never did I ever see him that he didn’t have a big smile. One of the best people I have ever known in my life. Always enjoyed being around him because of his personality and the great person he was. When he would come into Columbus to Riverside Hospital he would stop and we would have a wonderful visit. He will be greatly missed. RIP Buddy. Mickey Harmon.”
