He is survived by: his son Chad Carpenter; his siblings, Carol Klotz (Richard), Gary Carpenter (Diane), Sharon Walker, Roger Carpenter and LuAnn DeMond (Jim); and his brothers-in-law, Tom Newby and Ron Hoyt.
