He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Guelde and Johanna Guelde (Vonseggern); his brother Terry Guelde; his brothers-in-law, Larry Imbrock and Ken Meyer; and his granddaughter Bailey Brent.

He is survived by: his son Pete Brent (Stacy) of Malinta; his stepson Chad Gerhardt (Angela) of Weston; his grandchildren, Evan, Zachary, Riley Brent and Emma Gerhardt; and his siblings, Geraldine Imbrock of Hamler, Shirley Meyer of Deshler, Herman Guelde (Jean) of Paulding, Eugene Guelde (Glenda) of Alabama and James Guelde (Donna) of Wyoming.

Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
