She was predeceased by: her husband William E. Tumney; and her brothers, Hugh Mullen (Margaret) and Dr. Joseph J. Mullen (Ronald Hunt). She is survived by: her children, William E. (Jill) of Sandy Hook, CT., Zita T. Goldberg (Glenn) and Joseph H. (Kimberly); her grandchildren, Erin, Kaitlyn Tumney, Libby, Maggie Goldberg, Ryan, James and Kate Tumney; and her sisters, Anita McEvoy (Robert) and Jeanne O'Malley (James).
