He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou "Louie" Dear; his parents, Howard Spies and Arline Spies; and his brother Howard "Skip" Spies (late Jeannette). He is survived by: his children, Bob Jr. (Kate), Patty Lockwood (Matt) and Mike; his grandchildren, Braedon, Taylor, Kylie, Mary Grace, Molly, Robert, Emmit, Patrick and Ella; and his sister Kathy MacLellan (Jim).
