With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of McGuire Sarah Gillis of Westlake, Ohio, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father John Gillis; and her siblings, Joan Elliot, John Gillis (Muriel), Ruth Sullivan (Chuck), Donald Gillis (Margaret) and Neal Gillis.
She is survived by: her child Lauren Kaplafka; her son-in-law Mark; her grandchildren, Isabelle, Tyler and Everly; her mother Mary Gillis; her sisters, Edith DeMeo (Jim) and Mary McGreal (Al); and also, Rob Rzewnicki (Deb) and John McGuire. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donations in her name can be made to St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Lakewood, Ohio or to the Alzheimer's Association.
