He was predeceased by: his father James; and his brother Jim. He is survived by: his mother Cecelia Churpek of Elyria; his son Jacob of Vermilion; his sisters, Sue Hoyer (Charlie) of Wooster, Judy Dotin (Rick) of Akron and Patty Donaghue (Shawn) of Elyria; and his close friend Melody Welsh of Westlake.
