He was predeceased by: his son Brendan. He is survived by: his wife Peggy McCafferty (Major); his children, Mary Jude McCafferty (Ron Bloomfield), Francis L. McCafferty, Jr. (Kim), Brigid Lane (Dennis), Erin McCafferty (Roger Stevenson), Kerry McCafferty (Betsy) and Colin McCafferty (Janet); his grandchildren, Kevin Bloomfield, Connor Bloomfield, Cormac Bloomfield, Emily McCafferty, Frank McCafferty, Samantha McCafferty, Caitlan Lane (Matt Reinaker), Brianna Lane, Savannah Lane, Hailey Lane (Nathanael Beveridge), Brennan Lane, Regan Kirkpatrick (Chuck), Madelyn McNamara, Liam McCafferty, Molly McCafferty, Meghan McCafferty, Morgan McCafferty, Patrick McCafferty and Shannon McCafferty; his great grandchild Gabriel Beveridge; and his stepgrandchildren, Ryan Stevenson (Lauren), Ray Stevenson, Michele Pfaff, Stefan Pfaff and Thomas Pfaff. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home of Westlake (25620 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake, OH 44145). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (410 Lear Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012).
