Sherman Jr. of Westlake, Ohio, born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 1, 2024 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou; his son Joseph Edward; his parents, Homer and Hazel; and his brother Jay.

He is survived by: his nephew Jeffrey; his children, Dennis (Eleanor), Greg (Maria), Mary Jo Whetsel (Michael), Victoria Sherman and Julie Varsho (Bennett); and his grandchildren, Joseph (Claire), William Sherman (Claire), Nina, Emma, John Sherman, Miles (Jessica), Jacob Whetsel (Shelby), Ryan (Mikayla), Erin Crell and Mary. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, a nephew.
