He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles French and Marion French; and his brother Michael (MaryBeth). He is survived by: his significant other MaryEllen Anthony French; his sons, Barry and Neall; his grandchildren, Ellie, Zaun, Jackson and James French; his siblings, Charles (Maureen) and Kathy Lehmann (Richard); his nieces and nephews, Kristin, Danny, Charles IV (Kristie), Jason (Jodie), Austin Saujani (Vinay), Ashley Brennan (Patrick), Michael (Holly) and Taylor Lehmann (Zac); and also, Niki Palus French and Leeny Dasher.

In memory of Barry, donations can be made to University Hospital's Seidman Cancer Center, benefiting Leukemia Research.
