He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Gordon (John), Thomas Bates (Camille), Michael Bates (Patty), Todd Bates (Tracie), Angela Bates (Scott) and Stacy Lucarelli (Nino); his brother William Bates (Shari); and his father David Sizemore. He is also survived by grandchildren and six great-grandsons.
