He was predeceased by: his parents, Golden Sammons Sr. and Lorraine Sammons (Parsley); his siblings, Irene Saba and Arlend Sammons; and his son Gary Lee Pyle (Bonnie Thomas).
He is survived by: his children, Scott Sammons (Doug Ellenburg) of Nashville, TN and Valerie Rowe (Dan) of Johnstown, OH; his sisters, Elizabeth Moore (Bob) of Fairview, NC and Betty Sue Sammons of Columbus, OH.; his granddaughters, Hailey Sammons, Chloe Rowe and Nicole Bowman (Tim); and his great grandchildren, Ford and Tide Bowman.
