He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Coakley and Helen Coakley; his grandchildren, Tara Hope, Rachael Hope and Joshua Robert Morrison; and his brothers, Jack and Ronald Coakley.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Coakley (Mullins); his sister Sharon James (Lee); his children, Charles Coakley (Gloria), Rena Parrill (Tom), Tonya Morrison (Andy) and Rob Coakley (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Tricia (Chris), Tiffany (Chad), Thomas E. Coakley, Tommy Parrill (Alexis), Jacob, Jordan Morrison, Katie and Ethan Coakley. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contribitions may be made in his name to The American Lung Association.
