We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2024, at the age of 88, Patrick C. Mannion of Westerville, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Joanne (Ventresca); his parents, Patrick Joseph and Mary Bridget Mannion (Carr); his brother Bill Mannion; his parents-in-law, Luciano and Antonetta Ventresca (Piecoro); and his niece Luann Kaplan.

He is survived by: his children, Patrick (Jenny), Brian (Laurie) and DeAnne (Mike Freitas); his grandchildren, Andrew, Caroline and Joseph Patrick Mannion; his children, Lauren Peck (Clay), Ben, Cameron Rau, Chloe and Jackson Freitas; his sisters, Nancy Mannion and Midge Rach; his siblings-in-law, Ursula Mannion, Teresa Ventresca and John Neff; and his nieces and nephews, Mike, Megan, Tim Mannion, Joe (Laura), Sean Rach (Cindy), Kenny Klinglesmith (Chris) and Tracy Boutourline. He is also survived by his children's spouses as if they were his own children.

“I had the good fortune to be a student of Pat Mannion at Bishop Watterson High School from 1058-1962, and a faculty colleague in 1967-1968. He was an excellent teacher of History, and one of the finest coaches at Watterson. To all of us, even those who were not athletes, he was a font of wisdom and encouragement. He is now at rest and dwells among the angels.”
