It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin S. Slane of Westerville, Ohio, born in Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on March 15, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Blanche; and his siblings, Robert, Vivian and Althea.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth; his children, Martin Slane (Leslie) and Althea Kay Karlquist (Bill Alexander); and his grandsons, Daniel Slane (Susie), Cody Karlquist (Erin) and Donald Karlquist (Gina). He is also survived by his family, friends.
For years before the pandemic in 2020 he would be up at the Westerville Community Center to workout…waiting for the doors to open up every weekday.
