With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda Francic Jones-Barden (Westerville, Ohio), born in Ecorse, Michigan, who passed away on June 26, 2021 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Jones and Elizabeth Parsons; her husband Andrew J. Barden; her daughter Loetta C. Newsome; her grandson Dustin Matthew Carroll; and her siblings, Mildred Jones, Floyd Jones, Bobby Glenn Jones, Jimmie Jones, Butch Jones, Ralph Lawson and Danny McKinney.
She is survived by: her former husband William Carroll; her children, Jenniffer Ploeger and William E. Carroll (Bonnie); her stepchildren, Elaine, Wayne and Lura Barden (Billy); her grandchildren, Brenda Joe Newsome (Mark), Bobby Joe Cadle (Amber), R. Delone Heflin (Angela), Brandon Joe Giles (Tiffany), Shelby Lynn Carroll (Marcus), Marinda Olivia Loetta Heflin and Morgan Jade Carroll; and her siblings, Carol Sutfin (Jim), Lloyd Jones and Tom Jones (Zora). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great friends.
Linda remained in that home caring for her ailing brother until she contracted meningitis B, after a two week battle she conquered that but not before contracting COVID-19 which she also managed to beat, however the residual effects from that disease left her unable to fight and she sadly left us on June 26, 2021 a little after 4 p. m. at Mobile Infirmary with family and friends by her side.
