He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Carter Biven and Rachel Marietta Buck Biven; his daughter Jeanne Biven (Ramey); and his grandson Donnie Raver. He is survived by: his children, Linda Shields (Russ), Cindy Hale (Ed), James Biven Jr. (Peggy) and Karen Wood (Royce); his grandchildren, Marc, David, Phillip, Elizabeth, Kevin, Bryan, Mike, Jeremiah, Stacey, Kristy, Nicholas, Lea and Steven; and his sister Nancy Thatcher. He is also survived by 29 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
