Smittle (Linda) of Jefferson City, MO; his siblings-in-law, Carl Sonny Wells (Carol) of Grove City, Becky Martino (Frank) of St. Clairsville, Glenna Wells of Cadiz and Ruth Wells of Jewett; his grandchildren, Doug Smittle (Anthony Lucano) of North Hollywood, CA, Ellen Smittle (Nelson Diaz) of Queens, NY and Evan Smittle (Morgan Chilton) of Westlake; his cousins, Dr. John Niederhuber (Kathy McBrien) of Potomac, MD and Jim Niederhuber (Mary Ann) of Marion; and his nieces and nephews, Michelle Jansen (Scott) of Jefferson City, Deborah Kovaks (Scott) of St. Louis, Dianne Wells of Jewett, Janice Lennox (David) of Gahanna, Pam Howell (Rick) of Scio, Brian Smittle of Austin, TX, Steve Wells (Debbie) of Cadiz, Paul Wells (Pat) of New Philadelphia and Jim Birney of Pataskala.
