He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Woods and Billie Woods (Blevins); his half-siblings, Ted Woods (Evelyn) and Mary Jones; his brother Jeff Woods (Karla); and his father-in-law Paul Ring.
He is survived by: his husband Matthew Ring; his son Gregory Woods (Kristen); his grandchildren, Gregory of Blacklick, Brooklyn of Blacklick, Carly of Blacklick and Lexi of Blacklick; his son Michael Woods; his grandchildren, Michael, Austin, Madison, Mason and Gauge of Columbus; his sister Sharon Hackenberg of Canal Winchester; his mother-in-law Helen Marie Ring of Westerville; and his siblings-in-law, Paula Ring of Woodsfield, Marc Ring (Helen Kay) of Woodsfield and Andrew Ring (Lori) of Beverly.
