He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Smith and Hazel Greene; his sister Ruth J. Schaefer (Bessie); his daughter Paula File (Smith); and also Rita Smith (Babka).
He is survived by: his children, Mark Smith (Pam), Claudia Smith Lanthorn (Cliff) and Deidra Smith Headlee (Mark); his grandchildren, Stephanie Lanthorn Grieshop Lewis (Mike) of Seattle, WA., Kyle Smith of Seattle, WA., Kaitlyn Schwartz Moos (Tony) of Seattle, WA. and Timothy File of Seattle, WA.; and his great grandchildren, William Grieshop and Juliana Grieshop. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
