He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhard Hoheisel and Klara Hoheisel; and his son Chris Hoheisel. He is survived by: his son David Hoheisel (Lesley); his grandsons, Jake and Zach Hoheisel; his children, Brian Hoheisel and Sarne Brewster; his former wife Frieda Hoheisel; his sister Ingrid Sauter; and his nieces and nephews, Michael, Sabine and Dagmar.

He built and donated all the goals to help start the first organized youth soccer league (COSA).
