He was predeceased by: his father William Messenheimer; his stepfather Joseph Martin; and his brother Larry Hettrick. He is survived by: his wife Lillian; his sons, Michael (Sharon) and Rob (Kristen); his granddaughters, Evie and Ella; his mother Maxine Martin; his sisters, Carole Landes and JoAnna Peterson (Dave); and his brothers-in-law, Ted Frissora (Jeanette) and Don Frissora (Lisa).
