He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Edward Bishop, Sr. and Miriam Poland Bishop; his brother Jack Bishop; his niece Connie Jo Jackson; his brother-in-law John Reef; and his close friend Ken Schaaf.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Ashe Bishop; his daughter Tammy Watts (Fenix); his siblings, Saundra Reef (John) and Forest E. Bishop, Jr. (Marlene); his nieces and nephews, Randy Bishop (Susan), Craig Horton (Chona), Chris Horton (Cindy), Shane Hankins, Brenda Pruitt (Mike), Leann Brown (Terry) and Linda York (Chris); his stepsons, Scott McLaughlin (Steve Wedge), Sean McLaughlin (Cheryl) and Seth McLaughlin (Danielle); his grandchildren, Tre Ward of Georgia, Jahmonte Watts of Georgia, Caleb Giraud, Jacob Giraud, Avery McLaughlin, Emmy McLauglin, Evany Samartino and Abram Sneller; his close friends, Wayne and Suellyn Wiggand; and his family, Jan, Bob Lewellen, Matt Jones, Jennifer Burkart and Laura (Ken Schaaf).

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you send the Alumni Association for Centerburg High School a donation earmarked as a contribution to their general scholarship fund as a memorial to Barry L. Bishop.
