He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence C. Hollstein and Pearl Hollstein (Hamilton); his stepfather Blair Miller; and his siblings, William Miller and Brenda Schelling.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Pearson; his children, Michelle Currier (Adam) of Lima, Jennifer Crowder of Montpelier, Alicia Coburn (Dan) of Edgerton, Robert C. Hollstein, Jr. (Kelly) of Pioneer and Matthew Hollstein (Jennifer) of Navarre, Ohio; and his brother Michael Hollstein (Pat) of Alvordton. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
