He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin M. Rice and Hattie L. Rice (Crawford); his daughter Patricia Rice; and his siblings, Virginia Rubish, John Rice, Alvin Rice, James Rice and George Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Clara E. Rice of Peebles; and his children, Robert L. Rice of Peebles, Kathleen Schembs (Gary) of New Port Richey and Ellen Letizia of Lake Geneva. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
