He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy E. Shields and Dorothy Shields (Hatfield); and his wife Helen Shields. He is survived by: his children, Carry DeAtley (Jay), Rachel Hamilton (Johnny), Becky Tadlock (Jason) and Chris Shields (Kala); and his siblings, Dorothy Ramsey of Hillsboro and David Shields of Dayton. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
