He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis McCarty and Rosa McCarty (Shiveley); and his wife Alta B. McCarty. He is survived by: his children, Sharon Ashley of West Union, Ohio, Rosemary Vogler (Jake) and Jeff McCarty (Mary); and his siblings, Ray McCarty of Lynx, Ohio and Frances Grooms of Lynx, Ohio. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
