With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nellie W. Purdin of West Union, Ohio, born in Elkview, West Virginia, who passed away on March 5, 2021 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nellie W. Purdin to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cleveland and Garnet Marie Snodgrass (Ashworth); her son Timothy Lee Phipps; her brothers, William E. Snodgrass and Harold Snodgrass; and her niece Robin Snodgrass.
She is survived by: her sons, Darrell Phipps (Kim) of Loveland and J. D. Purdin of West Union; her grandsons, Derek Phipps (Emily) of Cincinnati, Matt Phipps (Jenni) of Columbus and Tanner Purdin of Florida; her stepgrandchildren, Colton Staker of Mt. Vernon, Dallin Staker (Jessie) of Craig and CheyAnne Staker of Florence, Kentucky; her sister Carolyn Young (Dale) of Proctorville; and her friends, Donna Spires, Leon Pollard and John Rhodes. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
