He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Curtis and Marjorie Curtis; his former wife Mary DeMint Curtis; his son Robert; and his sister Norma Jean Hill.

He is survived by: his siblings, Andy Curtis, Mercey and Lorena; and his children, Gary Lee of Portsmouth, OH, Larry Wayne of Dayton, OH., Ginger of Dayton, OH and Melva of Tennessee.
