She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Lewis Swearingen and Ocie Florence Swearingen (Hardin); her grandson Ronald William Hughes; her great grandchild Doc Allister Grooms; and her siblings, Roy Swearingen, Bessie Sidwell and Murl Bradford.
She is survived by: her children, Deedy Pistole of West Union, Roxanne Hughes (Ronnie) of Hillsboro and Billy Joe Fetters of Decatur. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
