He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edward and Mary Margaret Grooms (Grooms); his daughter Tonya Renea Grooms; and his siblings, Jessie James Grooms, Margaret Jean Lute, Dentie Mae Grooms and Joyce Louise Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Karen S. Grooms of West Union; his stepsons, Charles Leroy Cooper of West Union and Brent Wade Denning (Jamie) of Manchester; his brother-in-law Sam Taylor of Lynx; and his grandchildren, Charlie Cooper of Scioto County, Robert Cooper of Scioto County, Trenton Denning of Manchester and Jaylee Denning of Manchester. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter; and several nephews and nieces.
