He was predeceased by: his father Reverend Ronald Grooms; and his grandparents, Virgil, Ocie Grooms, Earl and Marjorie Nesbitt.
He is survived by: his mother Wanda Grooms; his stepfather Junior Grooms of Peebles; his children, Jaylin Grooms of Cedar Mills and Joshua Grooms of Cedar Mills; his siblings, Kelly Grooms (Trish) of Lynx, Lisa Ruckel (Greg) of Winchester and Debbie Rothwell (Larry) of Cedar Mills; his nephew Justin Thoroman of West Union; his great-niece Zoey Thoroman; and his close friends, Mitch Rothwell, Terry Whaley, Roy Clifford and Michael Durbin. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, cousins.
