He was predeceased by: his father Harry J. Brinker; his son Steven Brinker; and his sister Anna Marie Asher. He is survived by: his wife Pat Brinker of West Union; his children, Cheryl Brinker of Buffalo, Scott Brinker of Frankfort and Jason Brinker (Angela) of West Union; his grandchildren, Matt, Ben Haid, Brooklyn, Kaia, Michaela Brinker, Carson, Baylee and Ian Brinker; and his cousin Jackie Kohls. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
