With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Newsome (West Union, Ohio), born in Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on February 5, 2020 at the age of 47. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Newsome and Phyllis Jean Rickman Newsome; his son Brian Christopher Newsome; and his brothers, Donald Lee Newsome, John William Newsome and Thomas Edward Newsome.

He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Jean "E. J."; and his siblings, Mary Katherine Newsome Clay and Jeffrey Dean Newsome (Bev). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
