Betty Jean Akers Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Akers of West Union, Ohio, who passed away on April 17, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard White and Melissa Pearl White (Ross); her husband Frank Akers; her siblings, Ester, Dolly Evelyn (Furman Boldman), Edith Faye (Ed Stump), Hazel Fern (Hayes Cohn), Howard (Mary White) and Ernest (Daisy White); her stepchildren, Freddie Akers and Fredia Evans; and her great grandchild Chandyn Bryan Brumley.
She is survived by: her children, Forrest Ray, Keith Martin (Angie), Frank Jr. and Donna Jean (Edward Starkey); and her stepchildren, Bobby (Faye Akers), Harold Akers and Faye (Harry Calloway). She is also survived by several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home (216 W Mulberry St, West Union, OH 45693). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at the West Union Cemetery.
