He was predeceased by: his son John M. Runkle Jr.; his parents, Ralph and Marian; and his sister Janet. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Runkle; his children, Jana Holcomb (Chase), Cory Runkle (Kelsey) and Brent Runkle (Christa); his grandchildren, Kadence, Matthew, Pierce, Liam, Leighton and Ellia; and his sisters, Marsha, Susan, JoAnne, Jill and Renae.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in John's honor to Ashland County Honor Bus.
